  • How are my medical records obtained?

    Obtaining your medical records is simple and secure. We send you a release form which you provide to your doctor. They will then forward your relevant medical history to us. Rest assured, your information is handled with the utmost confidentiality. Our storage solution is HIPAA compliant, adhering to both Canadian and U.S. privacy laws and regulations. We never share your information without your written permission.

  • Can you provide medical advice?

    We don’t offer medical advice but support finding solutions. For specific questions, your treating physician is best.

  • How do you choose the right facilities/surgeons?

    We first prioritize options close to your home or travel destination of choice for easy access. We then present you with options, allowing you to decide which facility and surgeon align best with your preferences. If you have a specific surgeon or facility in mind, let us know, and we’ll handle the arrangements. Our team acts as your dedicated concierge, negotiating on your behalf to ensure you receive the best possible options for your health and well-being.

  • Are Health Bridge services considered private health care?

    Private healthcare in Canada is defined as medical services and insurance not supported by the publicly funded system. Health Bridge’s services are being provided outside of Canada and thus do not fall under the Canada Health Act or provincially funded care.

  • How do you investigate the qualifications of doctors, surgeons, and facilities?

    Before scheduling an appointment, we rigorously vet the facility and physicians to ensure they are in good standing with the state medical board and have positive patient reviews. Surgeons in the network are highly specialized, focusing on specific areas of expertise to ensure you receive the best care possible. We only refer patients to fully accredited centres of surgical excellence.

  • What if I can't afford the service/surgery?

    We understand financial concerns can arise, and we have a great partnership with Medicard – Canada’s Patient Financing Company. They offer competitive rates based on your credit score. Reach out to them directly for further details: medicard

  • What if I need post-procedure/surgery support?

    Our care team will guide you through and assist in arranging care or physiotherapy if needed. This is a service we offer. Please consult with our care team should you be interested.

  • Do you get a commission from the medical facilities you recommend?

    Health Bridge does not take any form of commission from ANY of the health facilities we work with. Such practices are unethical, not in your best interest, and illegal in North America. We make our money solely on the fees you pay for the services we provide you.
